Dear WinterLeague community!
We can look back on a very successful weekend: Saturday in Braunschweig and Sunday in Giessen – the perfect warm-up for our big tour through Europe, which starts on Friday.
Braunschweig: Outdoors in the snow – icy conditions, but the athletes really fired up the crowd. The backdrop was really beautiful and wintery, and we are convinced that it was the first notable calisthenics competition in the snow.
Gießen: Indoors in a school gym – familiar, warm, close vibe. Incredible support in every flight, very clean performances across the entire starting field.
Both different, but both times with a great community atmosphere: everyone pushed, cheered and respected each other. That’s exactly what the Winter League should be.
Judging: Improved – thank you!
The judging went much smoother this weekend. We made some internal adjustments (dead stops, chin height, depth, clear instructions), but you also made it easy for us: The athletes showed mostly clean, clear reps, keep it up!
Livestreams & procedures: Upward trend
Livestreams were better (less lag, clearer images – we will continue with this setup and try to refine the camera angles)
Our procedures generally feel more routine: setup, check-in, judging moderation mostly handed over to locals, more efficient award ceremony and challenges, etc.

Now it's really getting started – 10 self-hosted competitions in 18 days!
For us, an absolute Winter League marathon begins on Friday – 10 self-organised competitions in just 18 days! It’s going to be intense and exhausting, but we’re really excited. Saturday we start the journey in Brno, Czechia.
